Sorting the Contents of a Folder
In Umbraco, the sorting of media items in the tree view follows a predefined order. The most recently created item is positioned at the bottom of the tree structure. This means that as you add new media items, they will be placed at the end of the tree, ensuring that the most recent additions are easily accessible at the bottom.
Umbraco's default behavior prioritizes chronological organization, making it convenient to locate and manage recently created media items. By adhering to this sort of order, you can maintain a consistent structure in the tree view, ensuring efficient navigation and management of your media assets within Umbraco.
To sort the order of the items in a folder:
1. Right-click the folder you want to sort.
2. Select Sort.- You can simply click and hold on a folder, image, or file, then drag it to the desired position within the Media section. By releasing the mouse button, the item will be placed in the new location, allowing you to manually arrange the items as needed.
- Click Save.
