Adding media    

- Navigate to the media manager module and select the folder you wish to upload to. 
- select the “New” tab 
 
 - Click the select files button 

 

You can select one or more files of different file types for uploading.

Upload your files

If you are uploading large or multiple files, there may be a brief wait while the upload completes. A progress bar will indicate the progress of the upload". 

Editing media details

To change the details of a media item, follow these steps:
 - Navigate to the media manager module.
 - Locate the media item you wish to edit.  
using the folder structure or the search bar.
 - Click on the edit icon, which looks like a pencil, to edit the media item.".

 

 - Edit the fields you wish to change.


Some of the fields are explained below: 

   
  Alt Text: “Alternative Text” is read out to a user that uses a screen reader – someone who may have visual impairments. 

Resizing and cropping images 

-  Go to your media manager module 
-  Find the item of media that you wish to resize/crop 
You can use your folder structure or the search bar to find it. 
- Click the edit icon (pencil) to edit an item of media: 

 

- Click the “Crop / Resize Image” button: 

 


Choose to crop or resize your image: 

 


- Cropping: Select the aspect ratio you wish to crop to, then click and drag across your image. 
- Resizing: Select the width or height you need to resize to.
 (By default, when resizing, the aspect ratio is kept the same.) 
- Save the image.
  Once your crop/resize is complete, you can save your image. You have two options: 

 

Save the image.  

(Replacing the original) 

 

Save as a different image.  

(Keeping the original)
